Click here for driving directions. Many booksellers and gift shops at museums and historic sites sell selected titles from the Historical Publications Section of the N.C. Office of Archives and History. Taxes All orders by North Carolina residents are charged 6.75% sales tax. Payment Methods We only accept VISA or Mastercard for payment on this website. You may purchase items by personal check when ordering by mail only. Orders are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service or UPS. Shipping is based on the subtotal before tax if applicable. Delivery normally takes 2 weeks. You will be automatically notified by e-mail when your order is shipped. If you would like to pick up your order at our office (120 W. Lane Street in Downtown Raleigh) during regular business hours (8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday) and save on shipping costs, select the "Office Pick-up" option when you checkout. You will be notified by email when your order is ready (usually within 24 hours of placing the order).
